24th Annual Surgical Trauma Nursing Conference

Now in its 24th year, this regional conference provides specialized education for nurses and healthcare professionals dedicated to pediatric trauma and surgical intervention. Upon completion, participants will demonstrate enhanced clinical knowledge and an intent to implement evidence-based practice changes to improve care for this patient population.

1. 80% of learners will apply current evidence-based protocols to the clinical management of pediatric trauma and surgical patients, as measured by post-activity evaluation
2. 80% of learners will incorporate core multidisciplinary values—such as closed-loop communication and mutual support—into the coordination of pediatric surgical and trauma care.
3. 80% of learners will integrate current technological advances and evidence-based treatments into the clinical management of pediatric trauma to reduce long-term disability."
4. 80% of learners will assess the impact of trauma and surgical interventions on a child’s physical and emotional development to identify necessary psychosocial supports
