This educational offering boasts information on a variety of complex physiological and developmental neonatal issues. Research and technology are consistently expanding, and this program will review some of the latest therapies used to care for sick neonates.

Objectives
  1. Identify best practices for caring for the ELBW infants.
  2. Describe uses of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare and the NICU.
  3. Describe pathophysiology of Chronic Lung Disease and the care of CLD patients.
  4. Recognize best practices for Hydrotherapy in the NICU.
  5. Describe strategies for supporting families in the NICU.
  6. Identify best practices for unique diagnosis and therapies in the NICU, including Progressive Mobility, Ventilation Strategies, HIE & Cooling, and Surgical Diagnoses.

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

2026 Abstract Submission Guidelines

Types of abstracts that will be accepted:

Clinical Research

Work that previously presented at local, national, or international meetings will be considered for presentation; however, material that has been published as a manuscript in a peer-reviewed journal will not be considered.

Important Considerations Regarding Abstract Submission:

  • The following are required for first authors and contributing authors.

                        -First name, Last name, Degree, Organization, Email

            *Please identify the corresponding author and provide telephone number and preferred email address.

  • Abstracts must be submitted electronically.

                        -You will have the opportunity to review, edit and finish abstract submission as often as you like, until the date when submissions are closed.

  • Abstract must total no more than 500 words.
  • Once you have submitted your abstract, you will be directed to complete a financial disclosure form.

                        -Non-commercial product names must be used wherever possible. All off-label or non-FDA approved use must be disclosed.

                        -Failure to comply with the abstract submission requirements may result in withdrawal of the abstract for consideration by the program committee and possible suspension from future meeting presentations.

  • Abstracts selected as poster presentations will be displayed in-person on Thursday May 14, 2026.
  • Poster presenters are responsible for their own course registration fees.
