MARS provides researchers with the knowledge and skills to recruit and engage participants who prefer a language other than English in health research. This hybrid course includes an in-person track comprising lectures and small group work, as well as a livestreamed track comprising lectures alone.

Upon completion of this live activity, participants will be able to describe the genetic architecture of traits and diseases and methods to discover causal genetic variants and appreciate the potential impact of human genetics on clinical care, especially as related to childhood growth and obesity.

Upon completion of this live activity, participants will be able to describe the five goals of “Launching Lifelong Health”, review the state of child and adolescent health and outline levers for change to ensure ensure excellent and equitable health outcomes for children and the adults they become.

Upon completion of this live activity, participants will be able to examine neighborhoods and their link to our sense of community and illustrate importance of neighborhood (and community) to a range of pediatric outcomes.
