Overview
According to the CDC (2022), 1 out of 6 U.S. children have a developmental disorder or delay and 1 in 44 children will meet criteria for a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. This conference will address some of the leading developmental and behavioral health concerns, including tackling some of the current controversies and including helpful resources. Each lecture will include evidence-based treatments, support management and resource suggestions, with the goal of providing attendees the most current best-practices and practical tips for caring for patients with developmental disabilities.


Objectives
  1. Participants will identify common developmental and behavioral health symptoms that can present in pediatric patients
  2. Participants will identify common medical and mental health conditions that can occur with developmental or behavioral disorders and understand how they may impact the child’s function
  3. Participants will identify resources that can be utilized in the office or shared with families to address developmental, behavioral or mental health concerns in children

Registration
The registration fee is $150 for physicians and $100 for nurses. The fee includes continental breakfast, breaks, lunch, parking and syllabus material.

Accreditation
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education to physicians.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS
A block of rooms has been reserved at reduced rates at the Sheraton University City, located just a few blocks from Children’s Hospital. The group overnight rate is $199 single and double occupancy plus a 16.37 percent room tax. Participants are required to make their own hotel reservations by calling the Sheraton directly at 215-387-8700. Please mention the name of the conference when making your reservation. The special room rate will be available until Friday, Mar. 17, 2023. After that date, reservations will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis.
