Overview
This one day program will provide neonatologists and neonatal healthcare providers with the most up to date information on a variety of complex physiologic issues in neonatology. Research and technology are constantly expanding. This program will review some of the latest therapies used in treating the sick neonate. Topics this year include in-utero gene editing, management of complex esophageal and airway disorders, impact of the Dobb's decision on neonatal-perinatal medicine, team-based approach to optimizing resuscitation and neonatal management in the delivery room management of high risk neonates, collaborative approach to the management of perinatal HIV, and use of artificial intelligence in neonatology

Objectives
  1. Discuss in-utero gene editing and impact on fetal disease.
  2. Describe the multidisciplinary management of complex esophageal and airway disorders.
  3. Discuss the ethical consequences of the Dobbs decision on the practice of neonatal-perinatal medicine.
  4. Discuss team-based approach to resuscitation preparation and how to modify neonatal management in the delivery room for infants with congenital anomalies.
  5. Describe a collaborative care approach to management of perinatal HIV.
  6. Discuss the impact of artificial intelligence on the future of Neonatology.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
