Overview

This 1½-day program is intended for the multidisciplinary team: physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech pathologists, social workers and dietitians who provide care for patients with CLD/BPD. 


Objectives
  1. Engage with experts in the field to discuss challenging clinical cases and scientific abstracts
  2. Discuss multidisciplinary modalities available to optimize treatment of infants with BPD/CLD
  3. Debate a clinical dilemma faced by clinicians caring for infants with BPD/CLD
  4. Identify co-morbidities that infants with CLD/BPD are at risk for developing
  5. Recognize the challenges parents face as they transition to home with a medically complex child
  6. Discuss prevention, pathogenesis and the differential diagnosis of CLD/BPD

AMA CREDIT DESIGNATION STATEMENT

CONTINUING NURSING EDUCATION APPROVED PROVIDER STATEMENT

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This conference will provide a maximum of 11.66 continuing nursing education contact hours of which a maximum of 2.0 are pharmacology hours.

CLINICAL NUTRITION CPEU STATEMENT

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Accredited Provider with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Registered Dietitians (RDs) and Dietetic Technicians (DTRs), will receive 9 continuing education credits (CPEUs) pending approval, upon completion of this course.

PHYSICAL THERAPY CEU STATEMENT

Application has been made to the New Jersey State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners and the Pennsylvania State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.

SOCIAL WORK CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT STATEMENT

CHOP is a pre-approved provider of continuing education credits for Pennsylvania Licensed Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Professional Counselors. Participants licensed in Pennsylvania who attend the full workshop and complete the required evaluation are eligible for 10.5 continuing education credits. Participants licensed in other states should check with local licensing boards to determine continuing education approval.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ACCREDITATION STATEMENT

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is an approved provider of continuing education by the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. 10.5 contact hours or 1.05 AOTA CEUs will be awarded to participants at the completion of the program. Assignment of AOTA CEUs does not imply endorsement of specific course content, products or clinical procedures by AOTA. Approved Provider Number: 4878. Appropriate for Intermediate-level Occupational Therapists. Course falls under category of Occupational Therapy Process.

RESPIRATORY ACCREDITATION STATEMENT

Pending approval from The American Association for Respiratory Care, this conference will be eligible for 10.33 Continuing Respiratory Care Education contact hours. The educational content of this program has been endorsed by the PSRC.

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia has reserved a block of rooms with reduced rates at The Inn at the League, 1450 Sansom St., Philadelphia, Pa. The Inn at the League has four- diamond quality hotel rooms and suites in the same building as the conference. The group rates are $225 single and double occupancy plus a 7% percent room tax. Participants are required to make their own hotel reservations by calling The Inn directly at 215-587-5570. Please mention the name of this conference when making your reservations. This special room rate will be available until Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020. After that date, reservations will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis.
