Overview

This two-day conference for healthcare professionals will offer a comprehensive overview of both adult and pediatric vestibular disorders through lectures and hands-on workshops. Presenters will share a review of vestibular disorders in the clinical setting, as well as research, guidelines, and new trends for otolaryngologists, neurologists, pediatricians, audiologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals. The workshops will review techniques in vestibular testing and vestibular rehabilitation at our state-of-the-art vestibular testing facilities.



Objectives
  1. Identify disorders of the vestibular system in adults and children
  2. Discuss treatment of common vestibular disorders
  3. Review new trends in diagnosis and management
  4. Identify the difference in vestibular disorders in children and adults

Registration

The conference will be held in the Ruth and Tristram Colket, Jr. Translational Research Building on the Raymond G. Perelman Campus at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The registration fee for this two-day course is $300 for physicians and $250 for other healthcare professionals, and includes continental breakfast, lunch, parking and syllabus material.



Accreditation

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education to physicians.

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is approved by the American Academy of Audiology to offer Academy CEUs for this activity. The program is worth a maximum of 1.2 CEUs. Academy approval of this continuing education activity is based on course content only and does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products or clinical procedure, or adherence of the event to the Academy’s Code of Ethics. Any views that are presented are those of the presenter/CE Provider and not necessarily of the American Academy of Audiology. The Continuing Education activity represents 1.2 Tier 1 continuing education hours toward the American Board of Audiology® recertification requirements.

This course is offered for 1.4 ASHA CEUs (Intermediate level, Professional area).

A block of rooms has been reserved at reduced rates at the Sheraton University City, located just a few blocks from Children’s Hospital. The group overnight rate is $172 single and double occupancy plus a 15.2% room tax. Participants are required to make their own hotel reservations by calling the hotel directly at 215-387-8000. Please mention the name of the conference when making your reservation. The special room rate will be available until Monday, Aug. 5, 2019. After that date, reservations will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis.
