NEURO-DEVELOPMENTAL TREATMENT ASSOCIATION: Infant Handling Intensive

Learn intervention strategies for babies with neuromotor impairments such as developmental delays, cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, and prematurity. An emphasis is placed on the practical application of treatment strategies to gain meaningful functional outcomes appropriate for this age group, and how to incorporate therapeutic strategies into family life. Find out why this age is the time to emphasize prevention to maximize outcomes for gross motor, fine motor, and respiration. During this course, you will learn practical strategies that you can immediately incorporate into your practice.

PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS
A 20” rag doll or similar for practice (must have flexible joints and body), comfortable clothes for movement, and a mat for the floor.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

A block of rooms has been reserved at reduced rates at The Study located just a few blocks from Children’s Hospital. The group overnight rate is $239 single and double occupancy plus a 16.25% room tax. Participants are required to make their own hotel reservations by calling The Study directly at 215-387-1400. Please mention the name of the conference when making your reservation. The special room rate will be available until Friday, November 8, 2024. After that date, reservations will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis.
