Overview

The Section of Pediatric Dermatology of The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, in conjunction with the Department of Dermatology of the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania announces a comprehensive program on pediatric skin disorders. The 2018 course will be held at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in the Joseph Stokes Auditorium and area conference rooms on Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21.  The registration fee includes continental breakfasts, refreshments, lunch for the first conference day, and course materials.

The course is directed toward practicing dermatologists, pediatricians, family practitioners, resident physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and allied health care professionals.  Participants will receive current information on dermatologic disorders in neonates, children, and adolescents.

Highlights of the course include:

- State-of-the-art information on pediatric skin diseases.

- Live patient viewing and discussion.

- Workshops and panel discussions, including more in-depth interactive sessions with experts in pediatric dermatology.


Objectives
  1. Review the indications and use of new topical and systemic drugs in the treatment of pediatric skin diseases.
  2. Identify and treat common pediatric skin disorders, such as atopic dermatitis, acne, warts, molluscum, and skin infections.
  3. Review recent evidence on the systemic associations of atopic dermatitis and psoriasis and the use and indications of systemic therapies for these conditions.
