COURSE OVERVIEW

The Emergency Department of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia presents the sixth annual nursing conference "Best Practices in Pediatric Emergency Nursing." The format includes lecture, participative simulation, a skills lab and interesting case reviews. Content options are applicable to all levels of nursing expertise. Leading faculty share the lessons they’ve learned from managing children and families that experience a variety of illnesses and injuries. The conference will be held at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in the Stokes Auditorium on the first floor of the Main Building. The registration fee is $100 (Nurses), $50 (EMS) and $35 (students). The registration fee includes continental breakfast, breaks, lunch, parking and syllabus material.

OPTIONAL EMERGENCY NURSING CONFERENCE PRE-SESSION CERTIFIED PEDIATRIC EMERGENCY NURSE (CPEN) REVIEW

This CPEN review course is designed to prepare the nurse providing urgent and emergent care for children and their families for the Board Certification of Emergency Nursing (BCEN) specialty certification. Up-to-date content delivered through lecture, graphics and practice questions will review knowledge needed for success! The course includes a take-home study guide. HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

A block of rooms with reduced rates has been reserved at the Sheraton University City Hotel, 36th and Chestnut streets, Philadelphia, PA 19104. The group rates are $172 single and double occupancy plus a 15.5 percent room tax.
