The Section of Pediatric Dermatology of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia announces a hybrid in-person and virtual course focused on providing an update on pediatric skin disorders oriented toward primary care clinicians and specialists who care for children. The 2024 course will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 19 & 20, 2024. The registration fee includes course syllabus materials, continental breakfasts, lunch on Friday, and access to lecture recordings. The course is intended for practicing clinicians who care for children including, but not limited to, pediatricians, dermatologists, family practitioners, general practitioners, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physicians-in-training and other allied healthcare professionals. Other specialists are encouraged and welcome to attend. Participants will receive current information on dermatologic disorders in neonates, children and adolescents.

1. Diagnose and manage common pediatric skin disorders including atopic dermatitis, vascular anomalies, psoriasis, hair disorders, and drug reactions.
2. Diagnose and manage common pediatric skin disorders, such as atopic dermatitis, acne, hemangiomas and vascular anomalies, as well as common skin infections like tinea, impetigo, warts and molluscum
3. Learn when to refer to a pediatric dermatologist for evaluation of a particular skin lesion.
4. Review appropriate evaluation and management of acne and associated acne syndromes
5. Review recent developments in sun protection, climate change, and emerging skin infections.
6. Review recent developments that will help the participant identify and recognize • potential complications with autoimmune connective tissue diseases and urticaria
