Overview
This three-day conference will enhance knowledge in maternal-fetal care and overall pregnancy
outcomes, particularly as it relates to fetal intervention and maternal, fetal, and neonatal
outcomes. Each day will be divided into segments of care, from fetal surveillance to maternal/
fetal outcomes for a variety of conditions diagnosed in utero. Topics will include fetal treatments, risks and benefits to both the mother and fetus. Each segment will culminate with breakthroughs in research and care through “FetalTED” presentations. The integration of this knowledge can improve patient experience, clinical knowledge and long-term maternal/fetal outcomes.

Objectives
  1. 1. Discuss prenatal counseling, obstetrical management, fetal therapy options, fetal surveillance and delivery planning for fetuses with select fetal anomalies.
  2. 2. Describe neonatal challenges and management pathways as well as surgical options, approaches and outcomes for these anomalies.
  3. 3. Summarize multidisciplinary support, including genetic counseling, mental health screening and psychological support as part of counseling methods for families with complex prenatal diagnoses.
  4. 4. Review research and future implications associated with fetal therapy.
  5. 5. Review the prenatal diagnosis of a spectrum of congenital cardiac disease
  6. 6. Describe how fetal echocardiography can aid in management of fetuses with non-cardiac conditions
  7. 7. Review neurodevelopmental outcomes in prenatally diagnosed cardiac differences
  8. Describe how fetal echocardiography can aid in management of fetuses with non-cardiac conditions
  9. Describe neonatal challenges and management pathways as well as surgical options, approaches and outcomes for these anomalies.
  10. Discuss prenatal counseling, obstetrical management, fetal therapy options, fetal surveillance and delivery planning for fetuses with select fetal anomalies.
  11. Identify neurodevelopmental outcomes in prenatally diagnosed cardiac differences
  12. Recognize the prenatal diagnosis of a spectrum of congenital cardiac disease
  13. Review research and future implications associated with fetal therapy.

The National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) has authorized Center for Fetal Diagnosis & Treatment at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia to offer up to 1.65 CEUs or 16.50 Category 1 contact hours for the activity From the START: Innovations in the Care of Fetal Differences Before, During and After Birth. The American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) will accept CEUs earned at this program for the purposes of genetic counselor recertification.
