DnA University - Workshops

The Data Literacy Program hosts data education through various venues to reach a broad audience of learners at CHOP including DnA University, HR Micro-sessions and a Tool based workshops. DnA University hosts tool based workshops ranging from 1-3 days in duration where learners can register to learn how to utilize business intelligence or data analysis tools. These focused skill-based sessions allow learners to walk away with new ability after 1.5 – 3 hour session or series. Workshops are developed and taught by experts in the field – members of CHOP's Enterprise Data and Analytics team. Each workshop or series is hosted 2-3 times throughout the year at varying times. These workshops are geared towards Level 1 Data Literacy learners – those looking to upskill in focused areas and self-service learning opportunities. Any CHOP employee can register register for in MyCareer Learning Management System (LMS) and open to 20 learners due to collaboration and work groups. The FY23 portfolio workshops focus on Excel and Qlik Sense: - Excel 101 Workshop: Gain foundational knowledge to begin exploring and gaining insights from data in Excel - Excel 201 Workshop: Advancing your Excel skills using formulas, formatting, and other shortcuts - Qlik Sense Consumer Workshop: Navigate through Qlik Sense apps to answer data questions - Qlik Sense Contributor Workshop: Build custom tables and charts in an existing Qlik Sense app - Qlik Sense Developer Workshop: Create your own Qlik Sense app: load data and build charts & tables

1. Navigate the CHOP data ecosystem.
2. Gain foundational knowledge to begin exploring and gaining insights from data in Excel.
3. Translate clinical concepts into data.
4. Utilize, contribute to or develop Qlik Sense dashboards and communicate insights.
5. Advance your Excel skills using formulas, formatting, and other shortcuts.
6. Utilize data to tell stories and drive clinical or operational decisions.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
