Overview
Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is pleased to announce "New Frontiers in Pediatric Ophthalmology: 19th Annual CHOP Update on Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.” The purpose of this multidisciplinary course is to outline topics related to Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus diseases and conditions. It will focus on practical applications for the management of these disorders, as well as new horizons for diagnosis. This half-day course is intended for pediatric ophthalmologists, oculoplastic and orbital surgeons, neuro-ophthalmologists, pediatric healthcare providers and general ophthalmologists, optometrists, orthoptists, ophthalmic technicians, and other specialists interested in pediatric ophthalmology.

Objectives
  1. Compare both the surgical and nonsurgical management of an abduction deficit (covering VI nerve palsy and Duane Syndrome).
  2. Analyze surgical and optical options in the management of dissociated vertical deviation.
  3. Discuss the diagnostic value of eye movement recordings with the aid of patient videos of eye movement recordings demonstrating how EMR helps with both clinical and surgical care.
