Overview
Multidisciplinary educational conference focusing on lymphatic involvement in systematic disease. Including, but not limited to, specialists from Cardiology, Lymphatics, Neonatology, Critical Care/Anesthesia, Interventional Radiology, Gastroenterology, Radiology, Comprehensive Vascular Anomalies, Cardiothoracic Surgery and General Surgery. Working together to discuss innovative ways for patient care.

Objectives
  1. Discuss appropriate preoperative, perioperative, and postoperative care based on current practices and standards of care
  2. Utilize current data and practices in evidence-based medicine to develop treatment plans for patients
  3. Utilize current research and evidence-based medicine to formulate different treatment possibilities for patients, specifically medical management, surgical techniques, and interventional cardiac procedures.
  4. Explain the concepts and new strategies of care and practice for individual organ systems and lymphatic disease
  5. Review the conditions specific to the brain, eyes, pulmonary, cardiac, liver, GI, kidney, rheumatologic, infectious and critical care lymphatic patient
  6. Recognize the intricacies and unique challenges of the patient with lymphatic dysfunction, their origins, and management
  7. Review the latest approach to advanced imaging and interventional therapies for the patient with lymphatic dysfunction
  8. Describe the current tools and methods available for optimal characterization of lymphatic dysfunction including genomics, imaging and testing
  9. Describe the many conditions that involve the lymphatic system
  10. Discuss the multidisciplinary approach for patients with lymphatic dysfunction and the challenges and opportunities in providing care for them

Registration

Attendees have the option of attending the hybrid conference in person at The HUB for Clinical Collaboration at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia or virtually.

Registration Fee is $150.00

In-person registration includes continental breakfast, breaks, lunch, and syllabus material.


Accreditation

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education to physicians.

NURSING CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT APPROVED PROVIDER STATEMENT
Nurses will receive a CME certificate of completion. Nurses may use CME category 1 credits for re-licensure in many states, as well as most re-certifications. Please check your state board and certifying body for re-licensure and re-certification requirements.

Hotel Accommodations
A block of rooms has been reserved at reduced rates at The Study, located just a few blocks from Children’s Hospital. The group overnight rate is $259 single and double occupancy plus a 16.25 percent room tax. Participants are required to make their own hotel reservations by calling The Study directly at 215-387-1400. Please mention the name of the conference when making your reservation. The special room rate will be available until Thursday, May 4, 2023. After that date, reservations will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis.
