Overview

Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome) is the most common chromosomal condition, occurring in one of every 700 to 800 live births. Down syndrome is a complex genetic condition which can affect multiple body systems to a variable degree.

Children with Down syndrome are at higher risk for vision and eye problems, ear, nose and throat problems including hearing loss, congenital heart disease, gastrointestinal and feeding
problems, endocrine disorders, neurological and musculoskeletal issues, and developmental
and behavioral challenges.

This half-day symposium will provide parents and healthcare professionals with up-to-date clinical information and therapeutic approaches on communication and speech & language development in individuals with Down syndrome of all ages.


Registration
The registration fee of $20 includes course registration, livestream access to the conference and access to view presentations online.

Accreditation
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education to physicians.
