Complex Care Conference 2027

This two-and-a-half-day conference is intended for providers who currently care for children with medical complexity (CMC) or who are interested in learning to care for this population. This one-of-a-kind program offers an array of didactic and interactive sessions that will cover key complex care content areas, including review of current diagnostic and management strategies, care of children with medical technology use, and innovations in research, medical education, care coordination, and models of care. Through learning, sharing, and networking, the goals of this educational conference are to give our collaborative community the tools necessary to best care for CMC and support their families.

1. Develop improved proficiency in consensus-based and evidence-based management of children with medical complexity
2. Apply and integrate knowledge and skills to evaluate and manage care for children dependent on medical technologies, including enteral feeding tubes, central lines, and respiratory support
3. Incorporate interprofessional team-based approaches can enhance the shared care of medically complex patients in various settings
4. Employ effective communication tools to promote shared decision-making among providers, patients, and caregivers
5. Foster their sense of connectedness to a community of providers dedicated to care for children with medical complexity

In support of improving patient care, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
