Finding Our Voices: Humanities in Medicine

Healthcare professionals face stress and challenges in their daily work and often lack the space and time to voice their experiences, connect with colleagues and self to find meaning in their work. This activity aims to provide an opportunity to all those who deliver healthcare to learn and practice narrative skills through writing, reflection, observation and listening. It will help participants build empathy, self-awareness and connection with colleagues thereby affecting delivery of humanistic healthcare. The conference will include a keynote address followed by break out sessions which will involve participation with reflective writing, art observation, poetry reading, close listening as forms of expression.

3. Use creativity to improve functioning of multidisciplinary teams and provide humanistic care
