Overview
This comprehensive, multidisciplinary course offers airway training to a national and international audience. It provides participants with the essential evidenced-based knowledge and technical skills to manage anticipated and unanticipated pediatric difficult airways in the operating room, emergency department intensive care units, and diverse clinical settings. The conference integrates a variety of educational formats including didactic lectures, extensive hands-on practice at the stations, immersive simulation workshops, and expert panel discussions. The course is ideally suited for anesthesiology, critical care medicine, emergency medicine, and ENT practitioners. Learning objectives At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to: 1. Incorporate into practice effective strategies and techniques for predicting and managing pediatric difficult airway, per latest evidenced based data. 2. Recognize and safely plan for the physiologically difficult airway 3. Formulate a plan for management of anesthetic depth and oxygenation when caring for a child with a difficult airway 4. Acquire skills for alternative ventilation and oxygenation strategies using supraglottic airway devices (SGA), SGA assisted fiberoptic intubation, and front of neck access. 5. Enhance team communication and practical skills during crisis resource management.

Registration
General Information
The conference will be held in the HUB for Clinical Collaboration building on the main campus of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The registration fee is $100.00 and includes continental breakfast, breaks, lunch, parking and syllabus material.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
