Overview

This one-day program created by CHOP Primary Care Network, will provide primary care pediatricians and advanced practice providers with the most up-to-date information on a variety of common pediatric issues and current research. By the end of the conference, attendees will be able to recognize threats to public health, analyze current pediatric primary care literature, critique current practice guidelines, and create a wellness and/or safety culture. The speakers represent experts from across Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in an interdisciplinary education model.

Objectives

Define common pediatric dermatologic conditions and prepare for their management within primary care
Describe the current management of asthma and differentiate treatment options based on asthma phenotype
Explain the most common bacterial pathogens of pediatric illnesses and select appropriate antibiotics to minimize antimicrobial resistance globally
Evaluate personal priorities in addressing wellness and safety for self and patients, and, through hands-on workshops, create strategies for promotion of a wellness and/or safety culture

Registration

The conference will be held in the Leonard and Madlyn Abramson Pediatric Research Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The registration fee is $100 and includes continental breakfast, breaks, lunch, parking and syllabus material.

Accreditation

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education to physicians.
