Media Training Workshop

An interactive media training workshop designed to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to effectively and responsibly engage with traditional and digital media. As clinicians and subject matter experts increasingly serve as public-facing representatives of their institutions, the ability to communicate clearly, accurately, and in alignment with organizational policies is essential.

1. Apply effective media interview techniques to deliver clear, accurate, and audience-appropriate messages, including strategies for handling challenging questions and maintaining key messages under time constraints.
2. Integrate institutional public relations policies and professional social media best practices into media and digital communications to ensure compliance, protect patient privacy, and uphold professional standards.
3. Collaborate effectively with peers and communications teams by practicing real-world scenarios, giving and receiving feedback, and reflecting on strategies to improve team-based public communication.

In support of improving patient care, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
