Overview
This one-day course with provide neonatologists and other neonatal healthcare providers with up to date information on a variety of complex physiologic issues in neonatology. Research and technology are constantly evolving. This course will review some of the latest therapies used in treating the complex neonate.

Objectives
  1. Review the different methods of administration and benefits of minimally invasive surfactant therapy
  2. Describe the use of Avastin for severe ROP
  3. Identify the uses of point of care ultrasound in neonatal care, diagnosis and treatment
  4. Discuss the different types of breathing disorders including obstructive apnea
  5. Review the numerous types of current genetic testing available for prenatal screening and diagnosis
  6. Describe the most recent version of the AAP recommendations for level of neonatal care
  7. Discuss the impact of previous advances in neonatal care
