Pediatric Anesthesia Point of Care Ultrasound Workshop

This course is focused on perioperative bedside ultrasound and is designed for anesthesia providers. Through a combination of lectures and hands-on practical sessions using live pediatric models, attendees will learn ultrasound techniques including cardiac evaluation, lung evaluation, fluid status evaluation, and procedural guidance for peripheral IVs, central lines, and midlines.

IN-PERSON CONFERENCE GUIDELINES RELATED TO COVID
• ALL faculty and registrants are expected to be vaccinated by the time of the course. Please reach 
out to course directors if you are interested in the course but remain unvaccinated.
• Faculty and learners must be masked at all times except in designated eating spaces.
• Hands-on stations will have child models — many of them will likely be unvaccinated but they will 
be masked at all times and parents/guardians are expected to be vaccinated.
• If the course is cancelled for any reason, registration costs will be fully refunded. We
cannot refund any expenses for travel/ lodging.

1. Properly acquire cardiac images and evaluate for cardiac function and volume status
2. Properly acquire lung images and evaluate for pneumothorax, pleural effusion, and interstitial disease
3. Demonstrate how to use ultrasound for peripheral and central line access

REGISTRATION FEE — $250
The registration fee includes breakfast, refreshments, lunch, parking and course materials.
