Delivery Room of the Future: A Conference Focused on Delivery Room Management of Newborns with Congenital Anomalies

The field of Delivery Room Resuscitation is rapidly advancing. This conference will feature the patient-oriented research and clinical updates on topics related to delivery room management of newborns with anomalies, including methods to optimize team performance. The objective of this conference is to enhance audience understanding of delivery room management of newborns with congenital anomalies, and to apply the latest information to their clinical practices. The objectives of each session are communicated to all participants prior to the conference.

1. Discuss evolving clinical practices for delivery room management of newborns with congenital anomalies
2. Describe strategies for inter-professional teams to optimize delivery room care for newborns with congenital anomalies
3. Identify applications of innovative tools to improve delivery room care

The conference will be held in The HUB for Clinical Collaboration building on the main campus of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

The registration fee is $200 and includes breakfast, lunch, breaks and syllabus material.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Designation of Credit
Physicians: Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia designates this live activity for a maximum of 8.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Nurses: This program provides 8.75 ANCC hours.

Think Tank: Delivery Room Resuscitation of Newborns with Congenital Anomalies 

Delivery room management for babies with congenital anomalies is a rapidly changing field. The advent of Special Delivery Unit (SDU) environments provides an additional opportunity to study and advance care of this population. This preconference think-tank will provide a forum for participants to learn from our
collective experience and identify opportunities for collaboration across settings. All conference participants are welcome to attend.
