Trisomy 21 Symposium

Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome) is the most common chromosomal condition occurring in one of every 700 to 800 live births. Down syndrome is a complex genetic condition which affects multiple body systems to a variable degree.

Children with Down syndrome are at higher risk for vision and eye problems, ear, nose and throat problems, including hearing loss, congenital heart disease, gastrointestinal and feeding problems, endocrine disorders, neurological and musculoskeletal issues, and developmental and behavioral challenges.

This one-day virtual symposium will provide parents and healthcare professionals with up-to-date clinical information, therapeutic approaches and advice on a variety of topics affecting individuals with Down syndrome.

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education to physicians.
