Miriam Stewart is the Chief Well-being Officer at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where she leads the Office of Employee Well-being. She is also an attending physician in the Justin Michael Ingerman Center for Palliative Care. Dr. Stewart founded the Physician Well-being Initiative at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in 2016 and served as the Director of Physician Well-being from 2016-2022. She completed the inaugural Stanford Chief Wellness Officer course in 2018 and was one of the founding members of the Healthcare Professional Wellness Academic Consortium, where she serves on the Scientific Board. She is an Assistant Professor in the Division of General Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania. She received her undergraduate degree in Literature from Yale University and her medical degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She completed pediatrics residency and a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
