Elizabeth Drum, MD, FAAP, FCPP, FASA is a Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Her clinical practice is at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where she has served as the Associate Division Chief for Clinical Operations, is the Medical Director of Radiology Anesthesia Sedation Services and Anesthesiology Department Global Health Initiatives.  Dr. Drum is Chair of the American Society of Anesthesiologists Committee on Global Health, a member of the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia Global committee and the US Representative on the Council of the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists.

Dr. Drum has extensive experience in improving the safety and capacity of anesthesia care around the world, in building educational systems and collaborating with local providers to create infrastructure that supports educational initiatives. She served as a Major in the US Army Medical Corp from 1991-1994 and has sub-specialty certification in Pediatric Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
