Colleen is a nurse who has been practicing since 2013 with a passion for pediatric nursing both within the hospital setting as well as within the community setting. Colleen has held various nursing positions including roles in rural communities, home care, and since 2015 has been a nurse in the Division of Oncology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Within the organization, Colleen has been an active charge nurse on the inpatient Oncology unit and has participated on enterprise-wide committees and employee resource groups. Colleen has been involved in the development of Narrative Medicine writing groups and has worked on the planning committee and facilitation of the Finding Our Voices conference. Colleen has engaged in various community service projects within the CHOP network and has also been a member of the Multicultural Professionals Network, Cancer Center Diversity Committee and Better Together initiatives. Outside of Colleen’s professional roles, she sings and serves on the board of directors for her local choir, enjoys creating art, music, and writing, and taking care of her menagerie of pets.
