Faculty Bio

Sarah Jones Sapienza, MD FACS FAAP is a pediatric surgeon at Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital.  She is the Pediatric Trauma Program Medical Director and Surgical Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.  In addition to her responsibilities caring for injured children, she is the Director of the Chest Wall Clinic and Practice Lead for the Pediatric Surgical Specialties Division. 

Dr. Sapienza completed her general surgical training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 2003 and her pediatric surgical training at Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo in 2005.  She has dedicated her career to the surgical care of children and is proud to be presenting an interesting case at the Templeton Trauma Symposium this year.
