Dr. Emma L. Ross, PharmD, BCPPS
NICU Pharmacy Specialist & Residency Program Coordinator
Dr. Emma L. Ross is a NICU Pharmacy Specialist and Residency Program Coordinator at Children’s Hospital Colorado, specializing in pediatric pharmacotherapy with a focus on neonatal care. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Dr. Ross is a Board-Certified Pediatric Pharmacy Specialist (BCPPS) and has dedicated her career to advancing the quality of care for neonates and infants in critical care settings.
Her primary research interests include the pharmacology for neonates with bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD), neonatal pain and sedation management, neonatal delirium, and IV medication compatibility. She serves as the primary pharmacist on the SPROUT (Chronic BPD) team and the Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia team in the NICU at Children’s Hospital Colorado. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Ross is an active member of several professional organizations. She serves on the BPD Collaborative Pharmacology Workgroup and is a founding member of the Neonatal Delirium Collaborative, where she works to establish evidence-based guidelines and best practices for managing complex clinical challenges in neonates.
Through her research, clinical expertise, and leadership, Dr. Ross continues to make significant contributions to the field of pediatric pharmacy, with a focus on improving medication safety and outcomes for critically ill neonates.
