
Dawn Drumm, PT, DHSc has worked primarily in acute care during her 27-year career; initially working in a trauma and burn unit and the last decade plus focused within the NICU setting. Currently, she is a practicing Senior/Level II physical therapist at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago where she focuses her care within the NICU, BPD and PICU units as well as an offshoot transitional care location within Lurie, Almost Home Kids. She completed her PT degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 1997 and her DHSc from the University of Indianapolis in May of 2021, focusing her research on a tummy time intervention and parent education among infants born preterm. She currently assists in several research projects in addition to her own interests which include focusing on interventions that support improving motor outcomes as well as promote parental adherence and participation. When she is not working, she loves anything fitness and Peloton related, attending Chicago or Purdue sport events (Boiler UP!), taking walks with her Irish doodle Mack, and spending time with her husband and two adult children.
