Amy Bollinger serves as the Program Manager for Pediatric Trauma and Injury Prevention at Penn State Children’s Hospital, a level 1 accredited trauma center.  In this role, she ensures the delivery of the highest levels of care to injured children and their families. Amy also provides pediatric trauma education to staff nurses within the health system as well as EMS agencies throughout the region.


In addition, Amy oversees the community-based Injury Prevention program which provides safety programming and resources to families in the surrounding communities. She is actively involved in Stop the Bleed programming to local school districts and law enforcement, as well as Safe Sitter Programming and Teen Driver Programming to adolescents.  She also participates in Pedestrian Safety, Bike Safety, Safe Sleep, Gun Safety and other Homes Safety initiatives throughout the region.  Most recently, Amy created a collaboration with GIANT foods to extend the program’s child passenger safety inspection stations to multiple locations throughout five counties in South Central PA.  


Amy utilizes her expertise and experience through leadership and involvement in several regional, state, and national committees.  She serves as the Co-Lead for the Dauphin County Child Death Review Team and is actively involved in the Dauphin County Safe Sleep Sub-Committee, The Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation, the Pediatric Trauma Society, Safe Kids Dauphin County and Pennsylvania Emergency Health Services for Children.  In addition, she volunteers with a local food bank and assists with providing food to local families in need.
