James I. Hagadorn, MD MSc


Dr. Hagadorn is Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Neonatology, Department of Pediatrics, University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and attending neonatologist at the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford. He has served as principal investigator or senior investigator on prospective multicenter studies examining maintenance of targeted oxygen saturation range in very low birth weight infants, and has performed retrospective studies modeling a number of conditions including risk for development or progression of retinopathy of prematurity, and covariation of changing management of patent ductus arteriosus and changing outcomes of preterm birth. Formerly director of the fellowship training programs in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the Floating Hospital for Children in Boston and at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, Dr. Hagadorn has provided research mentorship and taught study design, database programming, data management, and statistical analysis to undergraduates, medical students, and physicians at all levels of training.
