Short Bio

Dr Daniel Zewdneh Solomon is a consultant pediatric radiologist with the rank of associate professor at Tikur Anbessa  (Black Lion) Teaching Hospital, School of Medicine, College of Health Sciences, Addis Ababa University. He did his undergraduate medicine, postgraduate radiology as well as his pediatric radiology fellowship training at Addis Ababa University. The pediatric radiology fellowship was of course conducted in collaboration with the CHOPS Global Health outreach program.  In addition to this, He also did a masters program in hospital and healthcare administration at Jimma University in collaboration with Yale School of Public Health

In addition to his teaching and research activities at Addis Ababa and Jimma universities, he had been involved in various administration and management positions and worked as department chairman, and director of medical services at Black Lion: He also served as head of radiology, head of clinical programs, and dean of the medical school of Jimma University.

He is one of the founding members of the Radiology Society of Ethiopia and served as president for one term.  He had also served as program officer and executive member of the Ethiopian Medical Association for two terms. He is currently involved in launching the pediatric radiology fellowship program at AAU in collaboration with the Department of Radiology at CHOPS with the assistance of the Pediatric Global Health outreach program.
