Biography

Duverger Nathalie earned her license in Physical Therapy at the Ponctificia Catolica Madre y Maestra in Santiago, Dominican Republic. She also completed an Orthopedic/Trauma observational clinical placements at the Center for Rehab Services (CRS) at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in Pittsburgh, PA. She has over a decade of clinical experiences in Physical Therapy care from working in the Dominican Republic at the Hospital Metropolitano de Santiago (HOMS) and Patronato Cibao de Rehabilitation. She is currently working as the Rehabilitation Services Manager at Hospital Albert Schweitzer in Central Haiti where she leads a rehabilitation program for low income families in surrounding communities.

In addition, she is a member of the International Spinal Cord Society (ISCOS), the American Spinal Cord Association (ASIA), the Haiti SCI Working Group, and the Haitian Physical Therapy Society (SHP). As a member of SHP, she is a strong advocate for the recognition and integration of Rehabilitation Services into Haiti’s national healthcare system.

Mrs, Duverger is a strong believer in Adaptive Physical Education to assist in the effective engagement of children and adults with disabilities improve their mobility skills.
